What is a Peer Coach?

A recovery coach plays multiple roles to support individuals and families through recovery. As a Motivator and Cheerleader, they encourage change and celebrate achievements. Acting as an Ally and Confidant, they build trust through genuine care and attentive listening. As a Truth-Teller, they provide honest feedback on self-destructive patterns. Serving as a Role Model and Mentor, they offer their own recovery journey as proof of transformation, providing advice and education. Additionally, they function as a Problem Solver to address obstacles, a Resource Broker to connect individuals with essential services, an Advocate to navigate systems, and a Lifestyle Consultant to develop healthy routines.
